New Members

    1. Travis – new hunter

Approaching Deadlines

    1. Sturgeon Spearing deadline is October 31st.

Open Hunting

    1. Pheasant and Rabbit hunting is now open.
    2. Possible Rabbit competition over winter break.

CWD Units

    1. Gun season is November 17th through December 9th.
    2. CWD Landowner Permit information (Needs to be done to hunt there)
      1. Landowners need to pick up landowner permit for $2
      2. We then have to pick up a hunter permit and landowner authorization form for $2
      3. Need to get landowner to sign it and put their permit # on it.
      4. Permits food from September 15th through March 31st. Firearms from November 17th through March 31st.

Ag Tags

    1. Ag tags are still available
    2. When ag tags run out, we can still bow hunt lands until January 6th.

Hunting Reports

    1. 4 Deer have now been killed on BHC land.
    2. Kyle got the first buck on BHC land with a 4 pointer.
    3. Duck/goose hunting is going well. Many people are going out hunting. Let them know if you want to go along.

General

    1. If you call someone about BHC stuff make sure to leave them a message.
    2. Bow hunting – Make sure you are staying current with your shooting at Juan’s, Blackhawk or an archery club.
    3. Hunters safety will not be offered this fall but will be offered next spring.
    4. Website is not fully running yet.

Competitions

    1. Gram is ranked 16th nationally for Fantasy Whitetails. (Out 0f 406 people)
    2. Make sure to pay in your 5 dollars to the big buck contest if you want to compete. The gun season is less than 3 weeks away!

Deer processing

    1. Still can get deer heads checked by DNR
    2. Can butcher a deer up at Juan’s place.
